Tokyo; Anyone Who Could Afford To, Left After Fukushima Meltdown:

The above video talks about the first two weeks after the Fukushima nuclear meltdown. It discusses and provides examples about how many of the rich upper class left Tokyo, and most if not all of the ambassadors from foreign nations moved out, right after the Fukushima meltdown.

It also quotes a nuclear expert saying that she would advise people to not only leave Tokyo, but to leave Japan entirely if they had the financial means to do so. She said that she would leave, if she could afford to do so.

This same process happens after every nuclear disaster, such as Chernobyl, etc. The most financially well off, intelligent and well connected families leave immediately after a nuclear disaster. They have the financial means and connections to make a major move quickly. They can afford to leave behind possessions, real estate, businesses, etc.

This short video does NOT go into details about the massive cover up and downplaying of the scale and scope of this disaster, but it can be inferred by the number of financially well off and connected leaving Tokyo.

The people that are most often left living in the area around a nuclear disaster are the poor to middle class. The poor farmers and other workers are often put out of work after a nuclear disaster. Farmers cannot raise crops or animals because they are all contaminated and the land is full of radiation that gets into the food. Manufacturers cannot use raw materials because they are all contaminated.

The poor and middle class blue collar workers often end up  being the very desperate folks who will work for little pay at a nuclear power plant that melted down, trying to clean up the nuclear disaster site, despite the obvious risks to health and life.
