“Rodney On The ROQ” Vol 1 – 1980: “KROQ-FM is a commercial rock and roll music radio station in Los Angeles, California, broadcasting on 106.7 FM. The call sign is pronounced “kay rock.”Classic 80’s so cal punk from the greatest radio station KROQ in southern california and Rodney Bingenheimer, an icon from that era! If you lived in So Cal at that time, you know what I mean!
THE legendary introduction on our very own Rodney On The Roq Vol 1… Brooke’s Mom, Teri, gave us her blessing when we added her daughter’s intro to The Best of Rodney On The Roq compact disc (not shown, available through Rhino Records).
“The world famous KROQ Pasadena california (though they now broadcast out of the Warner building in Burbank) brought us many characters -poorman and dr drew pinsky of loveline fame, the swedish eagle, jed the fish etc… but none more famous than Rodney Bingenheimer a man who could be found eating breakfast everyday at Tiny Naylors in Studio City- what memories this brings back. People this is history gitit while its here and kudos and thanks mr pony- a great post- a job well done.” – tom7865
